Quinte YFC / Youth Unlimited respects the privacy of its supporters, volunteers and the youth who participate in our programs.  As part of our commitment to you, we want to clarify why we may ask for your personal information (such as your name, address and phone number).

If you are a supporter, we collect personal information in order to send out periodic newsletters and to issue tax receipts for income tax purposes.  We may collect bank account information if you prefer a pre-authorized payment.  Personal information of volunteers is kept in a volunteer record for the purpose of contacting to schedule volunteer hours and first names and phone numbers may be provided to other volunteers in the same program for the purpose of switching shifts or updating information concerning the program.  Personal information of youth may also
include health card numbers and emergency contact information and is only used to register youth for a specific trip or event and in the case of accident, illness or injury during the trip or event.

At no time is this information shared with any third party, except in the case of emergency during a program, trip or event.  Personal information of youth is collected on permission forms signed by a parent or guardian for each individual trip or event and are destroyed once the trip or event is concluded.

Employees of Quinte YFC / Youth Unlimited may have access to your personal information provided they have a specific need to know in connection with the purposes identified in this Privacy Statement and access is permitted only to the extent necessary for such purposes.

Personal information of supporters will be kept in electronic format at the Quinte YFC / Youth Unlimited office in Belleville and in the accounting office.  Employees may keep records of their personal supporters in the local satellite office.  Paper records of donations may also be kept at the  Quinte YFC / Youth Unlimited office in storage. Personal information of volunteers will be kept in the local office to which they donate their time.  Personal information of youth will be kept in the office which is operating the program, trip or event that they are attending. We will honour any request you may make to have access to or review your personal information.
